Ceiling Collapse fund for Chelsea
Donation protected
My sister is an elementary school teacher in Tulsa, Oklahoma. One day after a 5.6 earthquake her living room ceiling caved in causing horrible damage to the inside of her home. We are fairly certain the insulation may contain asbestos. Today we were horrified to learn her home insurance will not be covering the damage. She has a two year old son who she grabbed in just enough time to get him out of harms way. Unfortunately, most of her son's clothing and toys were damaged and can no longer be used. They are currently staying in a hotel for an undetermined amount of time without a lot of the things most of us take for granted. After finding out her insurers were not covering this horrid accident I decided to make this page to help with any expenses. She is a wonderful teacher and amazing mother but this state does not pay our teachers enough to allow her to have enough savings to cover something this extreme. ANY little bit helps! Your money will go towards new toys and clothes for her son, ridding the house of anything like asbestos, the fixing of the ceiling, and a humble place for them to call home until this nightmare is over. As a teacher my sister has given to this community for years and it breaks my heart that she has no place to call home. Her insurance company has failed her- please help her during this awful time. Anything helps. Thank you.
