James Citizen's Cancer Expenses

My name is James “Keety Pop” Citizen and I have Stage 3 Penile cancer. I was diagnosed on July 14, 2014. I spent the rest of 2014 through 2015 undergoing Chemo and Radiation treatments.  Since my diagnoses I have been deemed disabled.  Because I had no medical insurance and was unable to work because of my diagnoses, I had no income to pay for my medical expenses or to help my wife provide the basic needs for ourselves and our child.  In order for us to survive and to be able to travel back and forth to UMC University Hospital in New Orleans, LA, my wife had to take out two loans because relying on only her income wasn’t enough. 

In late 2015, I finally received a medical card to help pay for my surgery but was soon disqualified when they added my wife’s income and the amount I received from my disability.  So now we are back with no help and piling debt.

On September 15, 2016, I have to go back to the hospital to take a Colonoscopy to see if the cancer has affected my colon.  In order to be reconsidered for help from the medical card my wife would either have to quit her job or we’d have to resort to divorcing and we definitely aren’t considering either option.  Because of this, I humbly ask you for help.  All donations in any amount are greatly appreciated.  Every little bit helps.
