From Marks Children: Sunday 29.01.23 was a day we don’t want to relive. Our Dad (Mark Thomas) was taken out by a car driver falling asleep at the wheel, swerving then hitting the armco barrier. This sent the car airborne on to the cycle path on the A40 where he was riding.

He was rushed into hospital where he underwent a 5 hour emergency surgery to save his life. He lost his whole body of blood and has had over 10 units pumped in. He has severe life changing injuries. His legs and hips are fragmented and open with muscle and skin gone, his shoulder is dislocated and broken in multiple areas. His heart is struggling to cope with the trauma, blood loss and pre existing heart conditions.

His condition is ever changing, we have been told to expect that he will be in hospital for many months and undergo multiple operations with the Orthopaedics and Plastic Surgeons.

As a family we are in shock and devastated to see our Dad go through this. We are trying to be positive and support eachother. We would appreciate any amount you can spare to support with the continuation of care and adapting the house for his eventual return.
