Follow along with me, Tam Songdog (a.k.a. Dr. Bedlam) as I travel the Streets of San Francisco and hopefully Seattle on a journey to spread the influence of Steampunk and meet awesome new people!
This will be a bit of a documentary/ travel blog. My intention is (For the month of June)to see as much awesome things as I can, taking photos and maybe doing some interviews and promotional shout outs, and in general expressing my thoughts and notions along the way. With any luck I will also be able to sell some hand-made trinkets or (heaven forbid) do some custom makeup (my job). While doing so, I will be rockin' my Neo-Victorian look and a devil-may-care attitude, steeped in my patented sarcasm and morbid curiosity.
At the end of my month-long excursion, I will compile what I took into an autobiographical-pictoral-fantastical-sarcastical documentary short; and with any luck another fine photobook like my "Steampunk in London"compilation seen in my video.
A lot of this is about my personal growth. As a freelance starving artist, and a person just starting out on her own, I want to see the world and share my art. To that end I ask you my friends, family, acquaintances, or even just some random person that stumbled upon this page and thought, "She looks interesting, I wonder why she's wearing that?", to contribute to making this trip a reality and allowing me to show this quirky ol' world through my eyes.
This time, I will have to travel by plane, unless my wonderful patrons are very very generous, and I am able to drive across America. HOWEVER! If this endeavor is a success, then my next Gofundme shall be the renovation of the MORGUEMOBILE (the Monster for short), my fabulous and wonderful old ambulance, so that I may be able to travel more and farther for longer, and offer my unique talents and antique style all over the USA!
