Help Ashley beat Cancer

Donation protected
When you think of a 25 year old, you think of someone who is young and planning a future, careless strolls in the park with their husband and son, spur of the moment trips, or going to a sporting event .

But when you are faced with an illness that changes your world in the blink of an eye, you begin to look at life much differently. You have no time to waste; these choices have to be made in a second, for your future, for family and continuing on your path of life.

Cancer is a word that many don't like to say, a word that gets hushed and swept under the rug. But it's as real as the sun rising tomorrow. It is something that has touched nearly every family or friend in this world. The fight not only begins, but will continue forever.

My Sister Ashley is 25 years old, smart, responsible, was never in trouble and is a great kid. As her brother, I couldn't be happier. She fell in love and gave birth to a beautiful son. Now living in San Marcos,TX and getting her life and family started, she is suddenly faced with many difficult decisions.

A couple weeks ago, she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a type of cancer that is said to be very responsive to chemotherapy. In the last couple weeks she has been faced with doctors’ appointments and tests for hours on end each day. If things aren't stressful enough, she still has a 16 month old running around.

When you're 25 years old, and have your whole life ahead of you, all of these treatments and split decisions are very tough things. Over the next 6 months, she is going to have a rough time as her energy levels decrease and the effects of chemotherapy take its toll on her body. Her medical bills are already piling up, some things are covered under insurance and other things aren't. I worry that she will be too tired to work and take care of the baby during treatment.

We are all staying hopeful and looking towards the day she is cleared of this cancer. I am starting this go fund me to help with her medical bills and monthly living expenses. We just hope to take a little stress off her and her husband's shoulders, they deserves as much care and support as this world has to offer.

Please help if you can, any donations are greatly appreciated. It would be such a relief to have some of the weight lifted so she can focus on the real battle at hand.
