Music Theater Summer Intensive in NYC

I'm writing this letter
to let you know of an exciting opportunity for me this summer!
As you might know, I have been interested in Musical Theater since around the age of 8, when I had my first opportunity to be on stage in a local production of "Beauty and the Beast!" Thus began my love of Broadway, theater, and singing...and recently, I've been given an opportunity to expand my horizons in this area.
Earlier, in Fall 2012 I was accepted to audition for a Theater Arts Summer Intensive, and my audition happened the end of March in Phoenix, Arizona. Approximately 2000 actors, singers and dancers from across the country auditioned for a spot in one of three week-long intensives to be held in NYC in July/August. Only 100 performers are selected for each session (300 total) and I'm so excited to be able to say I'm one of them, and have been accepted for all three sessions!
While attending, I will have the amazing gift of working with industry professionals one on one, including actors and directors, singing coaches and choreographers who are currently working on Broadway...just a few streets over from where I'll be attending my classes. In addition, I'll receive 10 master class instructions a week in my majors (acting and voice), and at the end of the 3 weeks, be part of a full scale, on-stage production showcasing my talents in front of casting agents, directors and producers.
As you can understand, though I have taken every opportunity locally, my opportunities are very limited for experience at this level in Montana, and so I am very pleasedto have been accepted for this chance to go study with people in the industry to hone my talents. This is a dream come true for me!
My parents have made it clear that part of achieving my dreams means I help take on the financial responsibility in attending this intensive. Though I have saved up a little bit, I have a long way to go! I'll be holding several fundraisers locally (still in planning stages) but am also reaching out for help to friends and family for financial help, and am hoping you would graciously consider supporting me.
My goal is to raise $5000.00 to cover my tuition and travel expenses.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
Sincerely,
Liv
