Jason's Medical Recovery Fund
At a very young age, Jason was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis, a lung disease that affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat, and digestive juices. It causes these fluids to become thick and sticky. The fluids plug up tubes, ducts, and passageways.
For years, many who know Jason may not have known that he suffered from this disease and was in-and-out of the hospital his entire life to receive treatment to help ease the symptoms of this disease.
Throughout his illness, never once have I heard him utter one complaint.
This week our family is celebrating, Jason had a lung transplant, and he is doing well. He’s waited for over six months for this surgery and experienced several disappointments when he was told three times that potential lungs were not a fit. In the midst of Jason waiting to receive his transplant, his wife Miriam lost her job. Her unemployment benefits end this month.
We are so thankful that Jason is doing well. But now Jason needs our help, his wife has been is primary caregiver. As Miriam will need to focus her time taking care of her husband, she will not be able to work until Jason is better. With three kids and household expenses, the Minors need financial help to ensure that their family can focus on getting Jason well.
He will spend a few weeks in the hospital and once released he will have months of recovery. He has a long road ahead of him, and we want to help in making that as stress free as possible.
Jason has risked his health by making sure his kids don’t suffer by missing out on events, staying by his godson’s side in the hospital, making car repairs with their one vehicle; Jason never let his illness hinder him. But these last few months it was rough for him, but Praise God, he is healed and on the road to recovery!
We are asking that you join us and help fund taking care of Jason, his wife, and three kids.
