THE FIGHT CONTINUES. . . .

To everyone who is new to my page the story below was the beginning of my journey, I am now starting a whole new battle and you can follow my journey of where I am now in my "update posts." Thank you so much.~ Hi, I am a mother of 3 and a devoted wife to my husband of 12 years. January 17th, 2012 I had my double mastectomy at the age of 30. Soon after I developed Lymphadema in my right arm and hand. My husband works 2 jobs and the majority of the time 7 days a week. I attend therapy 2 times a week and have to wear a compression sleeve as well as a gauntlet all day every day, these items need to be replaced every 4-6 months, I am also needing a Lymphthatic drainage pump that I use 2 to 4 hours out of every day. I currently have a loaner pump from the Breast cancer resource center but need to return it soon. If I get a down payment of $3500 insurance will cover the rest of the pump! My night arm garment runs $700 and my sleeve is $115 and the gauntlet is $200 these items are not covered by insurance. I need at least 2 of the sleeves and 2 of the gauntlets. I also need a few custom made bras. We have looked into these and they each run about $98 a piece. I am also still needing 3 more surgical procedures that have been put off due to my lymphadema. The amounts quickly add up and we just can't keep up, my husband wants to take on another job but I really need him with me a few hours out of the day. We have tried to do it on our own for the past year but can no longer keep up the cost is just too great. Our goal of $10000.00 will get me all the items I need to control my Lymphadema and to help out with doctors appointments. This is a life long battle and believe me it is taking everything we have to ask for help. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
