Chris's Pageant Dreams Come True!!!
Chris King’s Pageant Dreams Come True!!
Galesburg’s Chris King has been SELECTED TO COMPETE on a national stage in the “15th Miss TransNation Queen USA 2016 Pageant” in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 22, 2016! Can you help get her there? Any donation, no matter how small, will be greatly appreciated!
Chris’s role in this pageant is much more than a mere beauty contest, of which we know she can more than adequately compete. Chris is a poised and powerful voice and advocate for the LGBTQ+ community advocating support, education, and pride. Chris is also a valuable, community-minded person, whose volunteerism is known in her hometown of Galesburg, Illinois.
In recent years, Chris has generously given her time assisting local non-profits that needed help. She is an active participant in groups such as:
Heart & Soul Galesburg
Black Lives Matter in Galesburg
Galesburg Community Chorus
Prairie Players Theatre
Choral Dynamics of Galesburg
SAM’s Stray Animal Shelter
Did you know Chris once lived in South Carolina? Due to the number of applicants from Illinois, and the lack of eligible applicants from South Carolina, where Chris lived was a young child, the directors of the pageant gave Chris one viable option: represent South Carolina. Chris has agreed to represent South Carolina to get this opportunity.
Thank you for your support!!!
