Hi.. Im a father of Aleksandra (6 years old) who suffer from very severe eczema coused by missing gen called Filagryn. My Daughter has got also strong allergy for food and contact allergy for pollen and dust mites. All allergens after contact with Aleksandra's body couse very strong itch. Non medication can stop my Daughter from scratching. She introduce infections all over her body which has to be treated with antibiotics. Ola only recently nearly lost her vision. Streptococus and cold sore attacked her skin around eyes. Aleksandra is on antibiotics and steroids nearly all her life. Her skin is damaged. She doesn't have protein barier in her skin which protects against bacterials and viruses. My Daughter is wearing wet wraps 24/7 since July 2015. Her entire body is covered by bandages. Thanks to this her skin is moistruised better and it cuts her off from such allergens like pollen and dust mites. Profesor from Crumlin Hospital in Dublin said that last chance for Aleksandra to reach better quality of life is to give her METHOTREXATE. This medicine may couse very serious, life-threatening side effects. Usually its given to treat cancer or certain other conditions that are very severe and can't be treated with other medication.
As a father i promise to myself and i owe it to my Daughter that i will try everything else which is avaible before we put my Aleksandra on this drug.
