European Dream Fund
Spende geschützt
I am pleased to share that last week the United States Equestrian Federation's High Performance Committee awarded me a Dutta Corporation sponsored flight for my horses to compete and train in Europe. My plan is to ride Sagacious HF in the FEI U-25 Division and hopefully Her Highness O at various European CDI competitions. This exciting opportunity will give my horses and me the chance to ride amongst the best Europe has to offer. I am so grateful to the USEF and the Dutta Corporation for their support. I would like to tell you a little bit about these amazing to horses who came into my life and invite you to be part of the dream.
Over the past year, Sagacious HF and I have formed a great partnership and with the heart and talent he has it I quite possible the best may be yet to come. His owner, Al Guden brought him back to Florida last summer with an uncertain future, there was even talk of retiring him. But Sagacious is a fighter, a horse who never gives up. I was honored to have him in my barn but could not have predicted that just a few short months after his arrival, we would be competing in the Grand Prix and he would be eagerly approaching his work every day. Like everyone who has come to know him, I am completely smitten with this horse. I am thankful to my team, and everyone who has helped us including Lars Petersen and Juan Matute. It truly does take a village and I am extremely grateful to everyone for seeing what "could be". Together Sagacious and I have consistently earned scores in the 70 "˜s and even nipped at the heels of 80% on occasion. All this has been on US soil and now it is time to put both Sagacious and me to the test in Europe, against the best of the best. Getting to compete in Europe will be a victory unto itself and every thing else will truly be icing on the cake!
The other horse I would like to have the opportunity to show in Europe is my amazing small tour horse, Her Highness O. We call her the "working Mom" and her story is a delight to share as she had a very humble beginning. From broodmare to show horse "Hannah" as her friends call has proved she has a lot to offer. After having a number of foals Hanna came my way to train and maybe even show. When you get a mare to start training at age 7, who has spent most of her life leisurely out in the field tending to her foals and doing as she pleased, you really don't expect her to USEF Developing Horse Championship and a team gold and individual bronze medal winner at the CDIO Nations Cup: but that's just what she did! From the moment I started working with her, I knew she was special. She has talent to spare and the best character. She wants to know what you want her to do and then she shows you how easy it is for her. Heck all of this dressage is a piece of cake compared to raising her "kids". She loves the spotlight and the show ring is where she belongs! She and I have had an amazing three years and we are ready to see where she, too fares against all of Europe.
I have always been a dreamer when it comes to my horses and I like to dream big. To make this trip to Europe a reality I need support from my friends, fellow dressage enthusiasts and other dreamers. Your help and support on any level will help turn this dream into a reality. We have just a few weeks to raise approximately $24,500 for the expenses for the trip and I thank you in advance for any help you can offer. I promise if this dream becomes a reality I will do everything in my power to make all of you proud of being part of this dream.
My sponsored flight is allowing me to make this trip possible but with many more expenses in tow I ask for your help to make my dreams come true.
