Help us with our IVF journey
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Amber and this is a fundraiser for mine and Vaskos IVF journey. Starting a fundraiser is something we never wanted to do however following my recent diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis has made it extremely hard to save money after having to cut down my hours and not being able to work as hard as I used to. I will only be sending this to close friends and family as we are not comfortable with everyone knowing on social media.
We are having to do IVF as I was diagnosed with a rare condition called Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser (MRKH) Syndrome at the age of 15. MRKH is a rare congenital disorder that affects the female reproductive system, in my case an underdeveloped uterus. Because of this I am unable to carry children, luckily I still have eggs so we can still have children through IVF but will have to be carried through a surrogate.
Unfortunately we don’t qualify for IVF on the NHS so we have to go private and pay for it ourselves. Sadly there is no hope after the 1st IVF failure, The success rate of IVF is about 50% in women below the age of 35 which is why we want to start this journey as soon as we can. One round of IVF cost up to £10,000 and over which is why we have started this fundraiser.
If I have sent you this please don’t feel like you have to donate, it’s only because I feel comfortable sending this to you. Me and Vasko are ready to start IVF, we have so much love to give and would love nothing more than a family. Once we have gone through the IVF procedure we will then freeze the embryos created from my eggs and Vaskos sperm and de thaw them and use them when we are ready. The IVF procedure can cause relapses and worsen my MS however that’s a risk that we want to take. Please don’t feel like you have to donate, even if it’s small we will be so very grateful and want to thank you for supporting us.
Love Amber & Vasko x
