Help Us Grow the Golden Beach Community Garden!

Hello! My name is Danyelle Guyatt, and I am raising funds for the establishment of the Golden Beach Community Garden. This vision for a community garden was first conceived over 5 years ago by our community, and after some delays, we now have the momentum to bring it to life! Led by Glynis Saunders (Chair), Tegan Morgan (Secretary), myself as Treasurer, and supported by dozens of dedicated community members, we are ready to make this dream a reality.

Our Mission: The Golden Beach Community Garden aims to create a vibrant, thriving space where people can come together to grow nutritious food, learn invaluable skills, forge lasting friendships, and experience the immense joy of communal gardening. This garden will be a valuable resource for the entire Caloundra community, including Golden Beach and Pelican Waters residents.

Our Vision: With the generous support of the Sunshine Coast Council, we have identified a prime site near the Pelican Waters Bowls Club. The next critical step is to raise the necessary funds to transform this space into a flourishing garden. Our vision includes:

Future Plans: Stage 1 is all about laying the foundation with basic infrastructure. In Stage 2, we plan to create dynamic spaces for workshops, arts, and creative activities, all aimed at fostering a sustainable, supportive community.

Why It Matters: In the face of climate change and rising food prices, our community needs to unite and build a sustainable, organic, and healthy food supply accessible to all. The Golden Beach Community Garden will be a beacon of sustainability and community spirit, empowering residents to take control of their food sources and create a greener future.
