Gabriel Diaz ( AKA King) was a beloved Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and friend. His love for his family and his music touched the lives of so many. King lost his battle today and passed away from multiple organ failure. Unfortunately, his illness struck suddenly and no one was prepared for the significant expense we are now faced with.
When my father died, I was 12 years old. We faced the same circumstances then, and Uncle King worked so hard to give everything he could and do everything in his power to make sure that my Dad had a proper funeral and made sure I had a place to be able to visit him. I would like very much to be able to re-pay his generosity and show him the same respect and love that he has shown so many of us.
Hilda and I have united together today and have reached out to all of the family in order to pool our resources, but are falling very short of the $10,000 figure that we have been quoted for his burial and funeral services. I even tried to ask the cemetery if he could be buried with my father to help save on the cost, but unfortunately, they cannot.
We would like to ask for your help in raising these funds, as he had no life insurance and no savings. Any contribution you can give would be so greatly appreciated, as every little bit is so desperately needed. Even if it's only a few dollars, that would make a huge difference.
