Hello all! A few of us have decided to put together this account to raise funds for our dear friend Mackenzie Boyd.
On August 20th, Mackenzie was injured in a serious wakeboarding accident, and is currently still in Kamloops hospital, after having two major surgeries.
Mackenzie dislocated her left knee and the impact of this injury caused her ligament to tear and severed her artery completey. The doctors were required to remove a vein from her right leg to reconstruct the artery. Although the surgery was successful, Mackenzie is still paralyzed in her left leg from the knee down and doctors are unsure about the future mobility of this limb.
The money raised will go straight to Mackenzie, so that she may have funds to cover any medical related bills, and/ or any future personal expenses that she may need assistance covering, as she will not be returning to work for many months.
We have left the goal at $1, as we do not have a specific dollar goal in mind. Instead, we're asking that ONLY if you feel inspired to donate, you donate within your means.
