Cure for Quintero

Whether you know her as Sue, Mrs. Quintero, Maestra or even Mom, I guarantee you have been touched by the generosity, strength, humor and wit of this inspiring woman. She’s a teacher, a mentor, a mother, a wife and a friend. To know her is to love her. And now, she needs our help.

Sue was recently diagnosed with triple negative invasive ductal carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer. As a result, she faces some combination of chemotherapy, surgery and radiation.

Despite this terrifying diagnosis, Maestra has vowed to live her life as normally as possible. Knowing her, this means she’ll continue to put others first - her children, students at Mt. Lebanon High School, friends, family - but, the harsh reality is, her fight against cancer will be draining and relentless.

With your help, we can create a fund that will provide Sue the resources to fight this battle on every front, from covering direct medical costs to tackling everyday tasks she may not have the energy to do herself.

Our hope is not only to cheer Sue on throughout her battle, but to provide support every step of the way - because while we may not be able to take away the fear or pain that comes with a diagnosis of this severity, we can ensure she’s not alone in the fight.
