Hello everyone!
My step dad, Robert, has recently been diagnosed with grade 4 Glioblastoma. This means he has a malignant tumor affecting his brain. These tumors are the most aggressive and they spread into other parts of the brain quickly. Right now, the tumor is located in the middle of his frontal lobe, which has had a negative impact on his memory and personality. He has had surgury to have the tumor removed but unfortunatley, the doctors could not remove all of it without doing any more damage. Rob has recently started a very stict, high fat, low carb Ketogenic diet as a non-toxic way to keep the tumor under control. Additionaly, Rob has been underoing chemotherapy and radiation for a total of 5 days a week for 6 weeks which is slowly making him feel weaker. Once the 6 weeks is up, doctors will take another look at the tumor and we will know the next step to take.
At the beginning of this journey, Robert and our family had no idea it would turn out this way. Robert is a loving father to 5 children, and is also married to my mother, Kim. Since Rob has started his hospital visits, he has not been able to continue working for Sherwin Williams, and my mother continues to work to help stay on top of the bills. We still have a lot to look forward to as our journey continues, but it will be a lot easier with your help. Please please keep our family and Robert in your prayers.
