Medical expenses for George Kane

It is with a very heavy heart  that I post this.  On Saturday, September 17, my brother, George Kane was attacked.  It happened around 1130 am on 4th Street in Hattiesburg, MS.  Near the Handy Pantry.  He currently owns a business in this shopping strip.  He went to the End Zone to get lunch and was attacked on his way back to the shop.  In broad daylight.  Blocks from The University of Southern Missisippi.  Apparently this was the act of one person.  No one offered to help.  Everyone just watched. 

For those that don't know my brother, he is the kindest person you could ever meet.  Very funny and witty.  I am so grateful tonight that he is alive!!  He is the sole provider of his family.  In addition to his small business, he works for the Moselle water department.  Being such a small company, he doesn't get health insurance.  I'm setting up this account to help my brother pay his medical bills and provide for his family while he recovers.  The extent of his injuries are not completely known at this time.   He is being referred to a plastic surgeon and will require some surgery.  His nose is broken along with other multiple facial fractures.  He will be out of work for a while. 

I will do my best to provide information as I receive it.  We are praying that the person responsible for this horrible act is caught.  I'm doing as much as I can from Texas.  If anyone has any information please let the Hattiesburg Police Department know.  I want to say that I am overwhelmed by the support that has already been shown to my brother and our family.  Thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
