I am a single mom with 7 beautiful successful children. I currently have 4 children at home. A little over a week ago I contracted a statistically probable infection that almost killed me within 24-48 hours. All i did was shave my underarm in the shower...Later diagnosed as MRSA I had 3 emergency surgeries in 4 days with no insurance- and spent about 9 days in isolation in the hospital. I have a great job I just want to work. I came home today. Because I don't have insurance and I have of course applied for everything needed and possible. All I need to go to work is a medical device called a wound vac. (As well as a very expensive oral antibiotoc callex zyvox that ranges in the thousands. I have succesfully recieved a two week supply from a Pfizer program .) I am home bound until i can find a wound vac. I had one installed in the hospital but it had to be removed to discharge me. I'm projected at least 6 months or longer to heal . I am the only income for my family and I have a great job I just want to work. Anyone person who has ever met me knows that I work hard and consistently. I would have to remain in the hospital without these two things and I am praying that the world understands I am asking for a chance . I will make your investment proud. I will be an activist I will be a leader- I will be a testimony- and I will always communicate for others. My little family and I just moved into this rental July 1st after months spending every paycheck on hotels in order to flee a dangerous domestic situation. This is nOT bad luck ...we are not of a victim mentality in this family- this is blessings this is opportunity denied to others and i will embrace it. I have had 7 children of my own- In total I raised 11 children while I was a caregiver full time to a disabled spouse with no income- and I NEVER gave up hope. I never ever will. Please allow me to work with your donation . Please know that I fully understand and respect the value of your dollar and where it should be best used ... and will never forget it. If you were the only possible support for your children and your family, and had a good job, I ask what you would do in my position? I can not stand idle I have to ask and let each and every one of you know it really is worth it in this case. Every single penny is respected and paid forward or even in return. I beleieve in humanity I beleieve in love and light - the beauty of family and the validation of each and every pair if eyes I see or voice I hear.
