Arlin Rasmussen burn recovery
Donation protected
As some of you may know my brother, Arlin, was injured in a house explosion Tuesday September 13, 2016. He and a very close friend were blessed enough to survive with burns all over their bodies. Arlin has had multiple skin graphs and the road to full recovery will be long and hard. He has been a remarkable patient, grateful for every IV poke, everything the nurses and doctors have done to ease his pain. True Arlin fashion he cares when the nurses have had a bad day and let's them talk it out with him. He has been so gentle, compassionate and loving to everyone which we all know is who he is. Through it all Christina his wife of not even two months has stood by his side. Being at the hospital first thing in the morning waiting for them to let her in and leaves late at night when they finally kick her out. She is his rock and #1 supporter.
Arlin will not be able to work for a very very long time and Christina has put everything on hold to completely support her husband. Everything is on her shoulders so Arlin can focus on recovery. Being self employed Arlin has no disability benefits and life expenses are already adding up. Christina does not need this added stress so we humbly come as their family and are asking for any help anyone is willing to provide. They do not know about this and it will be hard for them to except but we know they need it. Parking alone at the hospital cost a small fortune!
We are asking that no one tells them about this and if you feel led to help them in anyway please do so! We are also planning a pizza night/steak night fundraiser in the very near future here in Regina.
From the bottom of our hearts we the Rasmussen's and McNichol's thank you for reading this and helping to ease the stress for both Arlin and Christina.
