Ivy - lee round

I am setting this page up on behalf of a family member following the devastating news they have received. On the 16th December Ivy-Lee was taken to russels hall due to her work of breathing later that night they got rushed to Birmingham Children’s and she was intubated on high flow oxygen, after a few weeks Ivy seem to appear better so the decision to take the tube out was made unfortunately a short time after the tube got put back in…. Weeks later the tube was taken out again and unfortunately failed again due to weakness. Following ongoing problems with her muscle weakness ct scans, mri scans and genetic test were performed.

On the 09/01/24 family recieved the devastating news that Ivy-Lee was diagnosed with SMA type 1 (Spinal muscular atrophy ) the condition is currently incurable and why Ivy-Lee is still intubated no treatment is available, Sma is a form of muscle weakness and also affects the ability to breathe as time goes on Ivy’s condition will get worse and worse and the life expectancy without treatment is very low. As a family we are absoloutely heartbroken by this and Mom and Dad are obviously currently out of work to spend time with there Baby and we all know with cost of living crisis things are hard at the moment anyway. We as a family are just asking if you are willing to donate even a small amount just to help out Georgia(Mom) Jordan (Dad) in this tragic time and also help decorate a house to support ivys needs when she eventually comes home.
