To Help Kori & Remember Judi

Dear friend and loved ones,
As many of you know, Kori's mother Judi Nicholson passed away on September 12th, 2016. Described as funny, charismatic and loving by those who knew her, Judi's presence was warm and unmistakable. A resident of Springfield, Massachusetts, Judi ran the Acres Pre-School, where she treated the community as her own family. Judi was a wonderful woman who impacted many, and will undoubtedly be missed.
As we spend time remembering Judi, it also cannot be forgotten that Kori just recently lost her father David. On July 20th, 2015 David lost his battle with cancer, leaving a hole in the hearts of many. A Minister in his community, he was described as a wonderfully kind man and truly thoughtful individual. David brought a smile to everyone's face and had a special presence that put people at ease.
In times like these, we never want to think of the financial implications of a loss. Unfortunately, funerals and the affairs that follow, are incredibly expensive. Especially if the death is sudden, and there wasn't much time to prepare.
In this particular situation, all of the expenses are falling on Judi and David's only child, Kori. Kori has very few family members that are local, and even fewer that are able to contribute to the expenses. Jessica and I were visiting Kori on the day her mom passed, and we witnessed the undeniable surge in her stress level as she discovered all the associated costs. It was very difficult to watch her be so sad about her mother, and simultaneously be so stressed about the money.
Jess and I are hosting this GoFundMe campaign so that Kori can grieve for her mother appropriately. So that she can take the time to mourn the loss, without being overcome by the anxiety and pressure that are a result of the cost of the funeral. Even the smallest donation would be appreciated.
