Help Evan's Auditory Recovery

Evan is 20 months old. Adopted in Malaysia when he was 2 weeks old, his parents Margaret and Casey were given the devastating news, at age 7 months, that Evan has severe hearing problems in both ears. After many trips to the doctors, cochlear implants have been recommended.

Unfortunately, Margaret and Casey are facing delays in processing Evan's migration paperwork. It will be another 2 or 3 years until this is finalised. This means Evan is not eligible for Australian government funded medical care (medicare) and all medical expenses are to be borne by his parents. The family's financial status does not allow them to privately fund it. Casey lost his job shortly after Evan's diagnosis, and Margaret is now the sole breadwinner for the family.
