My dear aunt Lorna gained her angel wings this past week. Please continue to pray for her family as they cope with this loss. She was a wonderful woman who will always be remembered for her heart of gold and her willingness to do anything for anyone. She was the definition of selfless. She was also an incredible fighter - the strongest woman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing.
At this time, I am continuing to share the GoFundMe with Lorna's story. Anyone who has ever lost a family member knows that death can bring major financial burdens. The last thing Lorna's husband, Lonnie, should have to deal with at this time is any sort of financial burden. All donations from this point forward will help contribute to the finances associated with Lorna's very long battle with cancer. My name is Kaila and I am writing this on behalf of my entire family. We are looking to help Lorna Clark, who is a mother, a wife, a sister, an aunt (my aunt), and about to be a nana to her first grandchild (due in November). If you know Lorna, you know what an amazing woman she is. She is so selfless - a dedicated and loving person who has spent her life caring for others. She is the strongest woman I have ever met, and I know many can say the same.
Lorna has been fighting cancer for 13+ years. Currently, she is dealing with an uphill battle that has had her facing chemo, many doctors appointments, handfuls of medication, and most recently, an extended hospital stay. Along with this cancer battle, she and her husband Lonnie are facing an unthinkable amount of medical bills. Lonnie has been nothing but supportive through this battle, and has spent every minute by Lorna's side.
This campaign is to help raise funds to make Lorna's time here less stressful - so that her and her husband can spend time together without dealing with the financial burdens that come along with this awful disease.
Please consider donating to the campaign, which will go entirely toward Lorna's medical bills and living expenses while she battles cancer. Any donation, big or small, will be given to Lonnie directly to assist him and give the family peace of mind during this very difficult time.
