Help Keep Wendy Wild Movie Going
Donation protected
Update: (7/30/2017) THE WENDY WILD STORY had a great premier at New York's Howl Arts Gallery. A $20 donation gets you the entire film via a private vimeo link. I will need an e-mail address to send you a link. You can send the e-mail address to me at [email redacted].
If you already donated to the film in the past, or helped in any way, no fee is needed.
(Opening Night at Howl Arts)
Update: (5/23/2017) The film is finished at 50 minutes but funds are still needed for legal protection and getting the film screened.
All donors will recieve a Preview Screener of the film.
I passed the $3000 goal, THANKS EVERYBODY!!!
Your donations made THE WENDY WILD STORY possible!
I made a documentary about my unique sister, punk rock/glam artist Wendy Wild, and where she rocked, New York's Lower East Side. I use video and stills from the 1980s, this film is becoming a cinematic Kaleidoscope of images and sound. ("Kaleidoscope" was Wendy's favorite color!) I'm thankful for getting rare footage of Wendy and The Lower East Side. But, funds are needed to get the film finished.
Wendy Wild always loved creating, and to poke fun. This is a 50 minute documentary on Wendy's life- from her Long Island start to her becoming a major part of New York's punk rock/new wave explosion.
I will include in the documentary that Wendy lost a long battle with cancer in October 1996. I prefer focusing on Wendy Wild- the artist, and the hilarious social critic. If she was here today, what fun she would have with the Kardashians, Beyonce, and an odd man with orange hair.
We are still on the hunt for photographs and video/film of Wendy as well as visual material of Wendy's environment - 1970s Long Island, and the Lower East Side. (It is very important have the creators of this material identified so they can be properly credited)
So, if you can't donate, please share.
