Justice for Zack

Good Evening,
My name is Cassie Straughan and I am the sister of Zack Straughan. Zack had taken a job with a company out of Saskatoon Saskatchewan and was sent to Winklar Manitoba for two weeks of work. Zack was only here for a few days when the incident happened. I keep saying it is a incident but the fact is my brother was brutally murdered over an apparent 16$ debt. When the first paper published the article they kept reporting that Zack was hit once in the head. I can tell you that statement is not true. Zack was hit multiple times in the head causing a severe head injury which he would never recover from. When Zack was hit the force was so strong that his heart also stopped. The doctors told us today that when there is a severe detrimental head injury like what Zack suffered, cardiac arrest and brain death is always almost instant. I find a little bit of ease knowing that he went quickly, the doctor said he probably died instantly.
Zack has three children, London is 6, Damon is 4 and Silas is 2. He also had just found out his girlfriend is 8 weeks pregnant. Zack was over the moon knowing that Ashley the love of his life was going to have his baby. Ashely had said Zack wanted to make a belly book which makes me smile everytime I think of it cause it just shows how much he loves them.
I am trying to start this go fund me page to help with a little bit of Zack's debts, and funeral cost. I would also really like to set up a little trust fund for each of their children. I know a trust fund will not bring their dad back but maybe provide them will a little security. Zack loved his kids more then life and did not deserve this.
One good thing that came out of this tragedy is that we were able to dontate his organs to other people who may not have made it.
