Masterson Strong

Imagine a day, your child comes to you complaining that their arm hurts. You look at it and notice that it is swollen. So you take your child to the doctor’s, such a normal thing to do, and an x-ray is ordered. The x-ray tech orders a STAT read on the x-ray and in a few short hours you are now on your way to Westchester Medical Center. After a battery of tests and a two week stay you are now told that your 15 year old child has cancer. Well that is what happened to Patrick and Karen Masterson with their middle son Griffin. Griffin was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a rare bone and soft tissue cancer. He is now going through massive amounts of chemotherapy, radiation, and possible surgery down in Westchester. His mother, Karen, has been down there with him every step of the way and his father, Patrick, as much as he can while also working and taking care of their other 2 children. Living in Orange County makes Westchester Medical a 2 hour drive daily. The medical and travel costs will bear incredible financial hardships on such a great family. Any help you would be able to offer would be greatly appreciated. We all want to make this terrible time for the Masterson’s just a little bit easier.
