Bringing a Vet home
Donation protected
My uncle, Nemesio Quinones, served his country in the sixties. He was in the Air Force and was injured during his service in Thailand. He became disabled due to his injury. Years after, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. That was 20 years ago. My aunt Norma has cared for him all these years and never left his side. On September 17th, they went on a much anticipated family reunion cruise which they saved for from their small earnings from his pension and social security. While on his trip, my uncle died unexpectedly of a heart attack. His body was taken to the Grand Turk islands, where it will remain until payment for his return is made. Like so many other disabled veterans, he had no life insurance or any other insurance to pay for his final expenses. Words can not express enough as to how wonderful and caring this was to his family and others. I am asking for help to bring him home. This is not a request to pay for extravagance or for personal gain. Any help would be greatly appreciated. He will be received by Osceola Memory Gardens in Kissimmee when we finally bring him home. From my family, I thank you for reading this and appreciate beyond words any help you can give.
