Hello everyone. I’m a very close friend of Sandra Mcveety.
Our powerhouse friend who’s always always there for everyone else she now needs our help. A devoted mother , wife , daughter, caregiver, friend and coworker.
Sandra is facing some tough times and has been hit with what most people couldn’t fathom having to deal with all at once or ever.
Sandra ( Sam) was diagnosed with Cancer in Feb of 2024 and underwent chemo treatment where she struggled daily with the effects of chemotherapy and had to take time off work since Feb shortly before starting chemo.
Thankfully Greg ( her loving husband)
Chris , Tracey( Individuals with disabilities who have shared their home and been apart of their family for 30 years) Elijah her son living at home and many friends took over the things Sam couldn’t do anymore.
Sandra recently finished chemo and rang the bell but knew the battle wasn’t over as she still has to go through immunotherapy and will go for Lumpectomy surgery and many more tests after this and recovery.
To top off battling cancer , trying to recover to get strong enough for surgery her husband Greg passed away suddenly August 1/ 24.
This has left them facing tough times. Struggling financially to afford bills and rent the home they are currently in. With finding a home to rent it was next to impossible to find a spot for months. They found a farm and Both Sandra and Greg had a dream of having a country spot with animals to have individuals with disabilities be able to come out and assist with farm chores and see & feed the animals. They had only been there 15 Months. And were working to get things ready to start inviting people in. Sadly now they can no longer stay at the farm due to Greg’s passing, the up keep and the cost of rent now on one income. They need time to find another home to rent but have to be able to afford the next 2-3 months rent where they are to allow some time to find a spot and prep to again move. All while Sam undergoes immunotherapy and surgery. Ideally hoping to raise money for 2-3 months rent , help with any additional bills and or help to move them. Sandra’s always there for everyone else willing to help financially, mentally , emotionally and physically to anyone who needs it.
She never asks for help but I know being her friend she needs it. She deserves it and we need to show her she is loved and has an army of people
