Christine Antonio's Medical Fund
Dear Friends,
We need your help! We are trying to raise money for Christine Antonio and her family to help her with the medical bills related to her cancer.
Christine has been battling breast cancer since 2011. In 2014, she was diagnosed with a recurrence that had metastasized to her bones. To manage the cancer, she has been using a combination of Western medicine and alternative treatments, which are not covered by insurance. Unfortunately, in the last several weeks, Christine has had to spend a lot of time in the hospital for pain management, chemotherapy, blood treatments and this week, surgery. She has several chemotherapy treatments left to go before the doctors can assess the effectiveness.
To add to the financial challenges, in February of this year, Christine decided to take time away from the job that she loves as a children’s gymnastics instructor so that she can focus on her healing. Their situation is compounded by the fact that they don’t have any immediate family close by since their move from Florida to Houston in 2013.
Christine finds strength in her family and kids to help her through this difficult time. Christine and her husband, Chris, have two young children, Miles (age 10) and Avery (age 7). Born with Microtia and Atresia (born without outer or inner ear canals), Miles, himself, went through six surgeries to reconstruct his outer ears a couple of years ago, and will eventually need two additional surgeries to open his ear canals and restore his hearing. His bone conducting hearing aids are very expensive and not fully covered under insurance. Having lost her own father to cancer, Christine is doing everything to fight this disease. The family has been through a lot.
Let’s help Christine and her family through this trying time. Please keep Christine and her family in your thoughts and prayers as to go into this holiday season.
Please join us and donate to Christine’s medical fund.
Thanks for all of your support!
