Please help family with funeral expenses
Donation protected
Friends, we lost a wonderful woman in a tragic automobile accident Thursday, April 23, 2020.
Carmelita Vasquez received her wings.
Carmelita worked as a substitute at Rondout Valley for years and was loved by students and staff alike.
My family is friends with her daughter, Edith Short. When we reached out to Edith to offer our condolences and of course whatever else we could assist with, Edith asked if I could set up this page to help with funeral arrangements.
Edith Short states:
Our beloved and sweet Carmelita left us early to become an angel. She touched many hearts and made everyone she meets smile. Always with a smile on her face was very contagious. We are asking for help to celebrate her life in the manner she deserves.
Viviana Vasquez ( Carmelitas daughter as well ) states:
This is a message to all the people who love my mom, Carmelita Vasquez. She loved so many people, especially all of her students. ( Ranging from elementary to high school) She was a blessing to all who knew her. Her message to all was to be strong and courageous. Thank you to all of you who loved her, she will be missed.
Losing someone during this difficult time has an additional level of pain as services are limited. These funds will go completely to the arrangements and a memorial service to be scheduled for a later date. Until then, friends, please stay healthy, safe, and know that this family appreciates every single penny donated. Although I am setting this page up, it will be Edith & Viviana who will be in charge of the final expenses.
