Help Carmen & Her Kids Get A Home
Donation protected
Hi my name is Maritza and the purpose for this gofundme account is to help a very important friend of mine who I've known for 8 yrs.
Carmen Dominguez is in the process of getting her first home, she has been working very hard to provide this home for her 4 loving children. She entered this awesome program that helps mother in need but the qualifications are extremely strict, she has worked hard for a whole year complying with every request needed. She is so close yet so far from giving her kids the home they deserve.
Carmen is a single parent juggling a full time job and children with no financial help from others. It has been her dream to finally own a home where her kids can build memories. She is almost near her goal, qualifying at the end of the month with one debt haunting her which may crush her dreams completely.
Carmen was kind enough a couple of years ago to lend her credit out to the father of her children to make HIS DREAMS come true by opening a mechanic shop. She helped pay the bills and worked around the office and still maintaining her full time job and all she asked him for was to pay the monthly rent for the space. Business was doing well as she was trusting him and his word and thought he was paying the rental space the whole time. Suddenly a lawsuit came about and Carmen came to find out that the rental space was not being paid for a whole year. The debt owed with the whole lawsuit came to $17,000.00, she reconciled the lawsuit with mediation and brought it down to $13,000.00. She has managed to pay $5,000.00 of the lawsuit but has exhausted her other outlets and is $8,000.00 away from closing this debt. Did I mention her kid’s father has not volunteered to help one bit just making it harder for her to work out. If she doesn’t figure out how to pay the money she will not qualify for her dream home.
This means a lot to me because I too am a single parent household and I know how hard it is to raise children, maintain a full time job, maintain a home and still find time for myself. I look up to Carmen; she is an amazing mother, daughter, sister and friend. She not only has her kids actively in sports, she also volunteers as a coach in our soccer team and goes beyond to satisfy others. Never have I seen Carmen leave her children’s side, and she is always doing the possible to make them happy and through all of this she has manage to have a huge smile on her face. If anyone deserves help, it’s Carmen. I would be so disappointed if she didn’t meet the requirements to get this home. I mean how can something positive you were doing for someone turn into a nightmare? Please help me help Carmen. Anything helps.
