Mother & Daughter Lost All in Fire

Ardus Wertz, or Addie as she's known to family and friends, has been a member of the Coupeville community since childhood. Recently, she has lived with her 4 year old daughter, Krysi, in Terry Mobile Park. Last night, however, their home was tragically burned practically to the ground; their car was melted; their belongings were destroyed. The start of the fire has yet to be determined, and this represents yet another uncertainty in the young mother's now anxiety ridden mind. Thankfully, Addie was able to escape unscathed. Her boyfriend- Eric Baum, who had stayed the night- braved the flames to rescue small Krysi, and eventually crawled out practically unconscious. His incredible strength and bravery saved Krysi from anything more than the blister left on her foot by melting plastic. Eric is now in CCU at Providence of Everett due to the severity of the damage caused by smoke inhalation. Addie is waiting patiently at his side, and the weight of last nights terrible incident are impossible to ignore. The future is now so unclear for this small family. Addie is faced with the loss of everything from social security cards for herself and Krysi, birth certificates, her driver's license, and cash she had stored in her home, just to start. She must find a new place to live, a new car to drive, and clothes for herself and her daughter. Addie recently completed an Associates in Science degree and had been working as a bookkeeper and blueprint analyzer for several organizations using her personal computer, which was also sadly melted in the fire leaving her unequipped for work. We're asking for the community to come together in any way possible and offer assistance in helping start to rebuild Addie and Krysi's life. They've lost almost everything but each other, so anything you can offer-small or large-will make ALL the difference.
