Help Our Mom Beat Cancer

Hi, we are the Carpenter family and are looking for help to raise funds for our mom’s cancer treatment.

A large tumor was found on one of our mom's ovaries at the beginning of July. By the end of July, she was on the operating table having a 16cm tumor removed, a full hysterectomy, a lymph node removed, all of her organs felt for other possible tumors, and 2 liters of ascites fluid drained from her abdomen.

She came home in a lot of pain and had an incision from her pubic bone to an inch above her belly button.

About a week after the surgery, we got a call from the surgeon stating that the tumor was stage 3 ovarian cancer and is metastatic, meaning it had moved from her pelvic region to her upper abdomen lymph node. The surgeon told her that without treatment, it is 100% likely that she will develop another cancer tumor somewhere else in her body.

Our mom/wife is dearly loved by all her family, friends, and animals. We know that ultimately God is in control over every situation and "that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."

We don't know God's purpose for our mom, but it is our hope and prayer that she will continue living with all of us for many years to come.

Unfortunately, my mom’s insurance does not cover the intensive treatment needed to help her body heal and rid itself of the cancer cells. The treatment she needs has been quoted at $48,000.
