Radiation Treatment Costs

Shannon is a 25 year old single mom of an amazing 4 year old daughter. On July 13th 2016 we found a large mass on Shannon's left thyroid. Many tests including ultra sounds and fna biopsies were done and determined possible cancer. On August 11th her ENT decided to remove the left lobe and biopsy the mass. It was discovered to be encapsulated , had become vascular and was indeed follicular carcinoma. He then decided to remove the remaining right side on September 13th and biopsy which came back as papilary carcinoma. It was discovered that she had two lung masses in the left lung which means the follicular had spread. A week after surgery we met with her radiologist oncologist to discuss her rai 131 treatment but it was discovered that her Medicaid did not cover the cost of many things of the treatment. We have been down every avenue and exhausted all options. The procedure is extremely pricy and no one will cover the cost ie (lsu,umc,mbp). So today we ask you to share in hopes of raising the money to cover the costs so we can continue treatment and finally have her cancer free and back to being the happy ,kind, and caring mother, friend and daughter she once was.  If you cannot donate please share.
