Justice for Lillian public inquiry
Donation protected
Early in the morning on December 26th, 2020, a bright flame was extinguished from this world. My bonus mom died due to the gross negligence of the hospital staff. Lillian Ashley was transported to the hospital, struggling to breathe by ambulance. No matter how much my Dad pleaded with the hospital staff to help her, to intubate or even just give her oxygen, they ignored his cries for help. Lillian Ashley was 40 years old with so much spark left in her life. However, the RCMP removed my dad from the hospital, her only advocate and she was left to die alone in a hospital bed struggling to breathe for hours (her lung filled with fluid). My dad is destroyed over the loss of the love of his life. He has been in a long battle with the Alberta Healthcare system and RCMP. The public inquiry into the death of my bonus mom has already started, there has been three pre inquiry web meetings so far. In the last one my dad requested the time to retain a lawyer as the judge told him he needs one. He has reached out to legal aid, unfortunately, legal aid can not help him and he can not get a lawyer without money. So, he needs to raise enough money for a lawyer to fight for justice for Lillian Ashley. Any little bit will help. If you want to inquire more about the ongoing battle he has been in, you can search his name (Cory Ashley) or my bonus moms name (Lillian Ashley/Vanasse).
