Bubba and the Camino

It has been a dream of mine for a long time to walk the Camino de Santiago (aka The Way of Saint James)
Huh?
The Camino de Santiago is a 490 mile (gulp) walk that starts at the border of France and Spain, goes straight through the Pyrenees, on through Northern Spain and finally ends at Santiago de Compostela (western Spain!). Pilgrims have been walking this path for over 6000 years (not a typo), and to this days it is walked by hundreds of thousands of people per year.
I will be starting the day of Oct. 15th and back Nov. 28! Any help towards my camino is all I could ever want. Let me get a bit more specific about where the money will go:
What I need:
-Supplies for the camino
Back pack, sleeping bag, good shoes, good socks, walking sticks, guide book etc..
- The Pilgrim hostels
I will be staying in pilgrim hostels along the way. While they are not five star resorts they charge a small fee per night.
-Food
My goal is to not die. I have other goals, but that is the main one. (I also wouldn't mind getting to try poulpe a la gallega!)
-Travel
Getting out of and back into Paris.

For each pilgrim the camino is a personal and sacred walk. I am really intrigued by the spiritual aspect of the journey.I'm also really looking forward to seeing this beautiful country in a remarkable way, meeting people from all over the world, and embarking on a great physical/mental/emotional challenge!

I am deeply grateful for any help whatsoever. I'm going to be sappy again, but for me it will really be the journey of a lifetime, and I know it will be a wonderful and transformational experience.

And even if you just took the time to read this all the way through and just send me good vibes/prayer/thoughts- I seriously appreciate it ( I am going to need lots of good vibes!).
