Jordans hiking accident fundraiser

Hello everyone! I'm starting this page as a fundraiser for my best friend Jordan Orendorff. On September 21st we went hiking on chimney mountain just outside of Indian lake, New York. Him and I had summits the mountain as we did on most of our hiking trips and then did some exploring to find a cave. We got 100yards or so into the cave where jordan slipped on the sediment covering the rocks on the cave floor and fell into a 15-18ft deep crevasse. When I got to him and preformed cpr to regain his breathing and pulse I then phoned the state forest rangers. Within an hour and a half there were 6 rangers, a state trooper, a sheriff, 2 flight medics, and a wilderness first responder there to aid in his recuse. It took us 6 hours to get him out of this cave and to the summit of the mountain where Jordan was winched into a helicopter and airlifted to the Burlington Vermont trauma unit and then surgical intensive care unit. With broken ribs, nose, eye socket, collapsed lung, cracked skull, brain bleeding and brain swelling, he was unconscious for 3 days. He remained in the intensive care unit for 2 days after awakening and then remained at the hospital in Burlington another 3 days until he was transferred to a neurological and physical rehabilitation facility in Utica NY. Jordan is now progressing at an impressive rate but due to loss of wages from his job and the time he is missing continuing his major in sociology at SUNY Polytechnic Institute and extremely large medical bills I'm attempting to raise financial assistance for him.
A short background on jordan, an avid hiker and kayaker him and I have spent many days climbing the mountains of New York, he is currently an aspiring Adirondack 46er with many other mountains under his belt. Long kayak and fishing trips anywhere he can find water on a map. He also has a love for basketball football and motocross. Anyone that has met Jordan knows he is the most kind hearted person you'll ever meet, someone you can talk to about anything and would do anything in the world for you. He is truly a one of a kind human gifted with the heart of gold he's got.
Any help at all getting him through would be more than appreciated by him, his family and I. Thank you all and thank you to all the kept him in your thoughts and prayers!
