2SOS Lt Col Charlie Brown Retirement
Donation protected
Esteemed Scorpions,
The time has come to bid farewell to a 2 SOS founding member. Lt Col Charlie Brown will be retiring 1 OCT 22. He plans on departing the fix on or about 30 June. Please make a voluntary donation of whatever you can for a retirement gift for a Squadron Mate, Comrade, Colleague, and Friend.
Charlie Brown has been a heavy hitter for the Scorpions since the Squadron was activated in its current form. He has personally trained up the current batch of evaluators we have presently on duty. CB was planning to just slide out of the Squadron with little fanfare. I trust the Scorpions will thwart his plan.
I’m hoping for $650 dollars for the following: an AFSOC ‘tool’ mounted to a plaque, and a 3d printed Hell Fire which will contain a liquid charge for high CDE effects. Estimated gift costs:
1. AFSOC ‘tool’ Plaque - $200
2. 3d Printed Hell Fire with liquid hate - $450
The cost is high (about the current price of two tanks of gas and a half filled bag of groceries), but if everyone made just a five dollar voluntary donation we would more than cover the planned gifts. I understand few will donate, but for those that do a ten or twenty dollar voluntary donation would be greatly appreciated. I will keep records and gladly share them with anyone who wants to confirm the gift costs and donations received. If we raise more than requested the excess will be given to the Sqdn SEC fund.
The 2 SOS is a special outfit that many called home, and many served the majority of their careers in. We have a special group of professionals that have worked endlessly round the clock doing ‘the mission.’ It’s a nice surprise for our departing friends who don’t expect a thing for their service to receive mementos from a grateful crew that will miss them.
Thanks Zulu

There is no explicit or implied requirement for you to make a donation. If you choose not to donate no worries, and thank you for your time. This fund raiser is not to convey favoritism or payment for duty served or seek to bribe the recipient. It’s simply a form of saying thank you for a job well done from those that served with and will miss their Comrade in Arms.
