Kevin's Surgury Fund

Hi everyone!  This Go Fund Me page is the same as before.  We just put it up again as maybe now more people will see and start to help us.  There was a benefit held for us before last October however due to timing and weather the benefit was only a little bit of help.  We had put this page up back then and kept it open for some of Josephine and Kevin's Family and friends are from Ontario and other provinces and have wanted to help with the financial part of Kevin's recovery.  Kevin still has a long road to recovery and with stays in the hospital, doctors appointments and everyday care Josephine is unable to work on a daily basis and with Josephine being self employed there are no other benefits available for her for financial need. Thank you all for your support.  Here is an update on the situation! I am sorry again, I have not updated everyone. I feel like I am complaining everyone I update. This is such a long hard road. Kevin has been in bed most says he gets up every now and then to get a drink of water or go to the bathroom. Every now and then he will attempt to walk outside for a little bit. He is very weak and gets exhausted pretty easily. We are trying to keep him at home as much as possible instead of hospital, because I have so much to do at home and mostly only me to do it as well as try to work as much as I can, although he had had to stay in hospital a little bit. The last update, we had been told we needed to see a heart specialist before he could get his name on the list for a liver transplant. WELL!!!. What date has finally come!!. We have to go to Halifax two different days next week!! Plus we have a trip to Charlottetown this week and another trip to Charlottetown next week and the week after that as well. He is going to keep me running the next few weeks which is both a blessing (to finally get to see these Dr) and a curse as it will take everything out of him to do all of this running! Get ready hospital staff as it will probably put him back in hospital after all of this! However it will be worth it if we get on the list. This means I will have a loss of expenses and no income. Please help! Some people have shared our "go fund me" page but not a lot of people have donated. I understand it is really hard for many purple and I really hate to be begging again. I try to do as much to help many others as I can in whatever way I can. Now it is time to ask for help for us again. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Kevin is still sleeping in the living room and using a commode because he cannot get to our bathroom. We also still have to have the heat on ( he is always freezing). We had applied for the reno grant but too many other people applied and we didn't make the cut. I have been trying to keep up with all the tasks by myself including fixing the deck because the railings all rotted. Dangerous when Kevin has no balance. I have a few people helping me when they can with some tasks thank God because I am becoming exhausted too and I need a knee replacement immediately but have to put it off as I am the only one to take care of Kevin. Also taking time off of work for a knee replacement cannot be done with no one working and no income at all then.

See why I don't post. I wish it was not so bad but I am just keeping it real and honest. We really need help.
