Janet Stinson

Janet Stinson is the breadwinner for her family of four. She has a son and daughter who attend middle school. Janet was diagnosed with clear cell ovarian cancer in January of 2013.  She has had 2 major surgeries, radiation treatments, multiple rounds of chemotherapy, placement and removal and then placement again of portacath for chemo. Along with all these interventions there have been lab draws, PET scans, CT scans, MD visits, trips to Duke for consultation, and Charlotte for clinical trial and chemotherapy. Janet has shown up for work despite pain, diarrhea, nausea, weakness, hand and foot syndrome and other side effects of her cancer treatments. She has never lost her sense of humor and strives to stay positive during her battle. For several months now, Janet has only been able to work at reduced hours.
