Racing legend Bertil Roos- Widow

Donation protected

Bertil Roos, Race Car legend and Founder of the Bertil Roos Racing School has passed after years of illness. Now with the entire universe at his beck and call, his spirit is free, racing his angel wings from star to star and into eternity.

But his real star, is his wife and longtime companion Bobbi Summers, who was Bertil's backbone and support system for the last 23 years. What the world didn't know was that Bertil was unable to work due to illness, leaving Bobbi as the sole bread winner.  Always hopeful, Bobbi never complained about the stress or the pressure placed upon her.  She gladly accepted the responsibility because that's just what love is.

The last three years however, were especially difficult after Bertil went into kidney failure.  Bobbi's love helped nurse him back as best as possible.  While chauffering multiple trips to the hospital over the last 3 years and providing Bertil with homecare she also continued to work full time. Leaving her with no free time and strained resources, bills piled up, the house fell into disrepair and savings were depleted.

We are all grateful that he is no longer suffering. Unfortunately Bertil had no life insurance.  Bobbi, the one and only person who was at his side continously for the last 23 years is left to pick up the pieces.

I am Bobbi's brother, David Summers and I am putting this campaign together to help transition my sister through the next period of her life.  She would never change a thing, but my hope is that she can make up for the 23 years of selfless caregiving she provided to Bertil.  I've set a goal of
$30,000, but we all know the cost of living.  This is a drop in the bucket to what she actually will need.

So if Bertil has ever touched your life, inspired you either personally or through the Bertil Roos Racing School, which was his life passion, then this is your opportunity to show your gratitude.  Pay your respect to Bertil and his legacy by helping the only thing he loved more than racing, his wife Bobbi Summers.
