Katie's Battle Against Cancer

Hello, My name is Sarah Holloway. Katie is my twin sister. October of 2015 Katie had surgery to have her left lung removed due to a tumor. After pathology reports Katie was diagnosed with lymphoma as well as a very rare cancer on top of it. Katie gets sent to Mayo Clinic Hospital in Rochester Minnesota. She was sent to Mayo Hospital for the first time in January 2016. Her team of doctors immediately started her on Chemo as soon as she got back to our home state of Oklahoma. Katie went through many weeks of chemo but doctors decided to stop the chemo due to her thyroid, gallbladder and right lung showing signs of being attacked as well and blood counts became too low to continue. Katie has had her appendix and gallbladder removed due to the cancer. July of 2017 they found tumor on her spine that she will be having multiple surgeries for. We are in need of funds to continue Katie's treatment, chemo, medication, copays and to afford all the travel expenses that come along with getting Katie back to Mayo Hospital. July of this year our mother was attacked by two pit bulls as well as our dog while our mom was in wheelchair recovering from lumbar surgery. She was Katie's care taker and now can hardly do anything due to her amputation from the pit bull attack. She is suffering from fluid on brain and will be having a brain shunt put in to release the fluid. Our little sister Bre who just turned 16 had leukemia at 18 months old. After recent test doctors believe her leukemia is back so she's being sent back to her oncologist to do further testing. Our family has been hit hard.
