Eagle Scout Project - Outdoor Classroom

Hello,
My name is Colin McCabe. I am a Life Scout in Troop 889 of The Woodlands, Texas, currently working on my Eagle Scout project. As COVID has become a growing issue, the principal of my old elementary school, Coulson Tough, and I discussed the possibility of an environmental-style outdoor classroom, that would not only serve as a beautiful place to learn but also as an ideal way of keeping the kids safe through social distancing. The area will include a fenced and mulched ~925 sq ft area complete with tree trunk-style benches for the kids to sit on as well as a podium for the teacher to teach from. The project has been designed to be ecologically friendly, by giving it an environmental feel and limiting the use of plastics while sticking to more friendly alternatives like wood. The initial phases of the project have already been completed, including the clearing of a 28’ x 33’ area and the construction of the surrounding cedar fence. The next phase of our project, that we need your help on, is the mulching of the area and the construction of the benches the children will sit on. The school, as well as myself, would gratefully appreciate any donations for this next phase of our project. Thank you for your consideration.
