Angel's Recovery

Hi, my name is Miguel Angel Vera, and I was involved in a head-on collision in 2015, where I was declared dead at the scene at around 9:30 on the evening of June tenth. It took the firefighters 90 minutes to remove me from the vehicle and later transport me to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center via helicopter. At the time I was working for the LAX airport delivering lost luggage to airline customers and was also working at the time of the accident. I began getting chased as I was headed to the next stop on my route, which caused me to lose control on one of the curbs in thePacific Coast Highway; which caused me to go into the oncoming lanes and go head-on with an SUV. Shortly after, I went into a coma and woke up three days later. After waking up from the coma, I underwent a total of eight surgeries in a span of two weeks. The doctors told my family and I that there was a big possibility that I may never walk again. Thankfully, God not only blessed me with the opportunity to survive such a tragedy but also allowed me to finally stand on my feet again after a lengthy recovery that lasted nearly a year. I am now faced with conditions that will affect me for the rest of my life. These conditions require medical care that will continue to cost me for the rest of my life. The funds that are accumulated will help me cover a variety of things like ongoing medical care costs, debt, a place to call home, purchase a car, and, most importantly, provide for my family, along with other necessities as well.
