Running for Celeste and Sydney
Donation protected
This year, I ran the Boston Marathon, and I am still in
shock over what occurred. After 20 days of feeling helpless, I researched a way to help, and that is when I discovered the Celeste and Sydney Recovery Fund.
Celeste and Sydney are a mother and daughter who suffered severe injuries
during the Boston Marathon bombing. Please take a minute and watch Anderson
Cooper's coverage of their story. Celeste and Sydney's family and friends
started the Celeste & Sydney Recovery Fund to relieve some of their financial burden.
On Sunday, October 6, 2013, I am going to run Twin Cities Marathon, in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, on their behalf. I am asking you to donate at least one dollar per mile for each of them"”a total donation of $53.00 (the site only takes even dollar amounts.) Please help me reach my fundraising goal of $5,000 by the end of Twin Cities Marathon. After the race, I'll send the money raised directly to the Celeste and Sydney Recovery Fund!
Please donate what you can, and then share with your friends!
Keep calm and run on,
Katie
