Andrea's stolen disability scooter
Donation protected
I was HORRIFIED to hear that my friend Andrea had her mobility scooter stolen from outside another disabled friends house in London.
Andrea is incredibly kind to everyone around her and is also a carer. This scooter is vital to get out and about as she has osteoarthritis in her legs, knee, ankle and shoulders.
Andrea is also the sole carer for her autistic nephew who cannot go out of the house alone. andrea had to cancel a trip to Edinburgh and they are now both housebound. This cruel thief has left them prisoners in their own home.
When my mother died some years ago I had not seen Andrea for many years. Even though at the time movement was difficult for her she travelled across London to sit with me the night before the funeral and help me say goodbye to my mother whose coffin was in the house. She gave me great strength.
I want to show Andrea that her kindness can be repaid and that terrible people will never win when it comes to the power of love. I am going to make a donation and I would be so grateful if you can help me bring a little bit of Andreas kindness back to her and to help her and her nephew the freedom to leave the house. I am trying to raise £3000 so that she can get a brilliant one. The last one was a donation from another disabled friend who no longer needed it.
