Funds For Beryl

Many of you may or may not be aware that our brother, Beryl Brandson is battling a disease called "Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis".  Progressive formation of scar tissue in his lungs has compromised his breathing and impacted his daily life greatly - he is unable to work, is currently in hospital, and requires continuous oxygen.  In order to beat this he has been told he will require a double lung transplant.

The lung transplant process can be a lengthy, expensive, and stressful one.  Surgery will be performed in Edmonton and he has to be within two hours of the hospital when a donor comes available.  After surgery he will undergo several weeks rehab in Edmonton and then back to HSC in Winnipeg to continue with the rehab.  Maintaining their current household as well as the stay in Alberta, the cost of the many medications he will be required to take, plus the day to day cost of living and everything that entails will be a financial strain. We, the family recognize that this is going to be a long expensive journey and want to support him in every way possible.  We are setting up this Go Fund Me campaign with the hope that by doing so we can help ease the financial burden they are facing.  Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and go a long way to help ease the stress of this journey.

We all take breathing for granted - it isn't until you can't breathe that you realize what a gift it is.
