Support Striking VZW Retail Workers
Donation protected
We are AT&T Mobility retail workers and CWA members raising money for our striking brothers and sisters in Verizon Wireless retail.
This is the first time our brothers and sisters at Verizon Wireless retail have been on strike. In fact it is the first time that any retail workers in the wireless industry have been on strike. A successful strike, with strong picket lines, is vital to help grow our movement in the wireless industry and to ensure Verizon Wireless workers get a fair contract. It is rare that young workers in the retail sector stand up and fight back, and it's critical that when we do, we have the support we need to be able to win.
As a father of two on one income I can understand the temptation to sacrifice the long-term benefits of striking for the immediate need to put food on the table, buy diapers, medications, etc. Our goal is to raise enough money to ensure our brothers and sisters have what they need to stay strong during the strike.
As workers in the wireless industry we are lucky to be members of the CWA. As a sign of solidarity we urge all who support the strike to donate whatever they can to help our brothers and sisters. By standing together we can help fight the obscene corporate greed at Verizon and ensure Verizon workers are given a fair contract. A successful strike at Verizon Wireless retail could pave the way for us to negotiate a strong contract at AT&T next year.
This page is to raise money for our brothers and sisters at Verizon Wireless retail, who are taking a brave stand. We will continue to support all of our brothers and sisters at Verizon by standing with them on the picket lines and doing everything in my power to aid them during this time.
They are fighting for all of us, and aren't receiving any paycheck while on strike. We are asking everyone to chip in to help them and their families pay the rent, and put food on the table. Please donate what you can.
Thank you,
Tyler O'Neil
