CILAS

In its flagship year the Cairo Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CILAS) offers a unique yearlong bridge programme that prepares high-school and college graduates for university degree programmes. Offering an affordable study programme the Institute enables students from a disadvantaged background to access liberal arts education. Students will have the opportunity to practically apply their acquired competencies during a development-related capstone project that addresses current issues in Egypt and the region. Faculty includes visiting fellows from Brazil, Germany, the Netherlands, Scotland, Tanzania, the US, Egypt and Austria.
